Need to Schedule Your Mammogram?

Please provide your contact information and one of our scheduling team members will be in touch within 3 business days.

The Breast Health Center at Beaufort Memorial has state-of-the-art 3D mammogram technology, which is becoming the standard of care across the U.S. and has many advantages over conventional 2D images including:

  • Fewer call backs for additional testing, saving you time, worry and money
  • Clearer pictures showing the inner structure of the breast, making it easier for the radiologist to see changes in your breasts and detect suspicious lesions earlier
  • Improved imaging of dense breast tissue, showing small abnormalities by creating multiple thin slices and eliminating the tissue overlap seen in conventional 2D mammograms of dense breast tissue

Given the advantages, Beaufort Memorial now uses the 3D technology, also known as tomosynthesis, for all patients receiving screening mammograms.

It is recommended that screening mammogram appointments occur before your first COVID-19 vaccine dose or at least four weeks after your last COVID-19 vaccine dose.

If you have questions, contact your primary care provider. Never delay care if you have any concerns about your health, or are experiencing pain or have noticed changes in your breasts.
