BMH Care Anywhere is great when you’re on the road for vacation or work. Telehealth is available in most states, but some states do not allow telehealth or prescriptions. For a full list, visit: https://telehealth.hhs.gov/providers/policy-changes-during-the-covid-19-public-health-emergency/telehealth-licensing-requirements-and-interstate-compacts/

Clinical services on BMH Care Anywhere are supplied by local physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants and the Online Care Group – the nation’s first and largest primary care group devoted to telehealth.

Physicians and physician assistants on BMH Care Anywhere:

  • Have an average of 15 years of experience in primary and urgent care
  • Are board certified, licensed and credentialed

The provider you select will review your intake information prior to starting the visit then they will connect with you. Once you’ve shared your symptoms, they will advise you to go to the ED, make a follow-up appointment with your BMH primary care provider, or send a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.

It’s up to the provider; however, if you have a condition that can’t be assessed/treated via telehealth, most will not charge for the encounter.

Please note that an authorization hold is placed through your credit card to ensure there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the visit. This authorization hold is immediately lifted when the visit is complete. However, some banks will take several business days to clear it from your statement. If you have a question regarding an authorization hold that has not been lifted, please contact your bank.

Yes, with some limitations. For example, BMH providers can only prescribe in the state in which they are licensed, and controlled substances cannot be prescribed by any online provider.

Billing Questions

You may notice two charges on your statement after your visit. The first is an authorization hold, and the second is the charge for the visit.

An authorization hold is put on funds to ensure the balance is sufficient to cover the cost of the visit.

BMH Care Anywhere lifts the authorization hold immediately when the visit is completed. However, some banks will take several business days to clear it from your statement. If you have a question regarding an authorization hold that has not been lifted, please contact your bank.

No. You will only see an authorization hold when you are using a card for the first time on BMH Care Anywhere. For example:

  • You are having your first visit on BMH Care Anywhere
  • You got a new card since your last visit
  • You are using the same card you did last time, but the expiration date and/or CVV changed since your last visit
