Improving Access to Care

Beaufort Memorial providers and health care teams serve communities across the Lowcountry at convenient locations that house a variety of primary and specialty care services.

The Beaufort Memorial Hospital Main Campus in Beaufort includes our 201-bed hospital, Beaufort Medical Plaza, the Breast Health Center, the Keyserling Cancer Center, Beaufort Medical Administration Center, an outpatient surgery center, multiple physician practices, and two laboratories and imaging centers.

Beaufort Memorial Express Care & Occupational Health offers walk-in medical care for minor ailments and injuries as well as occupational health services, such as expedited medical care for workplace injuries, physicals and pre-employment testing. We have Express Care & Occupational Health locations at our May River, Okatie and Port Royal medical pavilions, all with X-ray and laboratory services.

Beaufort Memorial Lowcountry Medical Group, also in Beaufort, includes primary and specialty physician practices, outpatient imaging and laboratory services.

The Beaufort Medical Administration Center (BMAC), adjacent to the main hospital campus, houses a variety of business administration departments, HealthLink for Children pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic, and our LifeFit Wellness Center offering medically supervised fitness programs, outpatient physical/occupational/speech rehabilitation therapies, medically supervised cardiac rehabilitation and related services. The BMAC is also the future home to our PATH Learning Center and Skills Lab.

The Harrison Peeples Health Care Center in Varnville is a federally qualified health clinic that provides primary care for adults and children, lab and X-ray services, and rotating specialty care.

The Okatie Medical Pavilion, our newest campus, brings access to high-quality care to communities south of the Broad River. It includes the New River Cancer Center, outpatient imaging, lab and rehabilitation services, multiple primary and specialty practices, and Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) adult and pediatric subspecialists.

Our Port Royal Medical Pavilion houses our Direct Primary Care clinic, one of three Beaufort Memorial orthopedic practice locations, outpatient rehabilitation services and an Express Care clinic.

Clinicians also provide care through our telemedicine platform. BMH Care Anywhere offers on-demand video visits with board-certified providers affiliated with our telehealth partner, as well as visits with Beaufort Memorial primary and specialty care providers. Area residents can also use BMH Care Anywhere through our partnership with area Publix Walk-In Clinics.

Breast Health Centers

Beaufort Memorial Breast Health Center

The Beaufort Memorial Breast Health Centers in Beaufort and Okatie offer a full range of preventive breast care and diagnostic services in a spa-like setting. Accredited by the American College of Radiology and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, our Breast Health Centers offer resources and treatments for breast cancer and other benign breast diseases.

Cochrane Heart Center

Staffed by board-certified cardiovascular specialists, the award-winning Cochrane Heart Center provides preventive, diagnostic and interventional services to prevent and manage heart disease.

Collins Birthing Center

The Collins Birthing Center offers beautifully renovated, private labor and delivery and postpartum rooms, the region’s only Level II nursery, and 24/7 in-house pediatric care and anesthesia services.

Joint Replacement Center

The Beaufort Memorial Joint Replacement Center offers advanced solutions for joint disease, including minimally invasive hip and knee replacements using Mako SmartRobotics, which uses 3D modeling for greater precision. The center is one of only four in South Carolina to have earned advanced disease-specific certification for hip and knee replacement from The Joint Commission.

Keyserling and New River Cancer Centers

Keyserling and New River Cancer Centers

Affiliated with MUSC Health, the Keyserling Cancer Center in Beaufort and New River Cancer Center in Okatie offer a full range of cancer services, including medical and radiation therapy, surgical interventions, nurse navigation for patients and their families, access to groundbreaking clinical trials, and highly coordinated care at every step. Lab, imaging, infusion and breast health services are available on-site, along with education and support, oncology-certified nurses, nutritionists, and social workers.

Sickle Cell Clinic

The only program of its kind in the Lowcountry, our Sickle Cell Clinic was established in 2016 as part of the statewide SC2 Pilot Program. The clinic offers ongoing disease-modifying therapy with individualized treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices.

Wound Care Center

Created to help people with any condition that leads to nonhealing wounds, our dedicated Wound Care Center provides advanced care with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, cellular-based skin products, dressings and comprehensive case management to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

  • LifeFit Wellness Services, which includes our LifeFit Wellness Center, the area’s only medically supervised facility led by exercise physiologists; cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs; diabetes management; and nutrition counseling
  • Outpatient imaging with many services accredited by the American College of Radiology, including MRI, breast MRI, CT and mammography
  • Rehabilitation services, including comprehensive physical, occupational and speech therapy services for adults and children in age-appropriate outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Outpatient surgery, which serves more than 5,000 patients every year
  • Outpatient care coordination, a team that offers guidance and support for patients post-discharge to ensure continuity of care and health
