Lymphedema Prevention & Management

With some cancer surgeries, including breast procedures like mastectomy and lumpectomy, lymph nodes and the attached vessels may need to be removed. That can sometimes result in painful swelling in the arms and legs, called lymphedema.

Our certified physical therapist will meet with you for a free session before your surgery and provide valuable information on preventing lymphedema and education on your care after surgery.

We can also refer you directly to outpatient rehab, where our therapists provide a variety of treatments to promote healing, reduce pain and swelling and help prevent scar tissue from forming.
