Critical Care & Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

For patients who require comprehensive monitoring and treatment, Beaufort Memorial has a highly skilled team of providers in the 12-bed intensive care unit (ICU) on the second floor of the main hospital building. Each of the spacious private rooms has site-line views from the nursing stations and state-of-the-art technology and monitoring systems.

We use an interdisciplinary team approach that includes specially trained physicians and nurses, surgeons, orthopedists, clinical pharmacists, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation therapists (physical, occupational and speech), and nutritionists. In addition, our ICU physicians have on-demand access to Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Health experts for consultation.

For our smallest patients, Beaufort Memorial offers critical care services in the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICU).
